About my Collection:
In my first semester of my junior year of college, I worked hard to develop my second collection entirely designed and sewn by me- including some of my own textiles. This collection is inspired by feminist punk rock bands- girls can be hardcore too. Throughout my research process, I looked back at concert advertisement and zines surrounding punk subculture. In the second phase, being required to include technology, I studied the science behind music/sounds, referred to as cymatics. This project is primarily inspired by my parents and their love for music that ultimately reflected onto me. Growing up listening to artists such as Nirvana and Hole, these memories will stay with me forever.
